Red Cross Offers Free Disaster Training.
The recent 3.5 Magnitude quake that
hit off the coast of Marina Del Rey last week, reminds residents of the need to be
"Earthquake Ready". To help make sure area residents are ready to take life
saving actions in an emergency the chapter is sponsoring free disaster
training for residents which will include Basic Emergency first aid training
during March and April 2009.
Three-hour sessions will be offered offered on selected Saturdays
during March and April, Session One is from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The second session
will be 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. If you would like to take advantage of this free
training, simply contact the Santa Monica Red Cross at
310-394-3773 during normal business hours to enroll in either

The Santa Monica Red Cross is located at 1450 11th Street (at Broadway)
in Santa Monica. Free parking. Class sizes are limited, so to
guarantee a place in class, early enrollment is strongly
advised.
