Red Cross Offers Free Disaster Training.

The recent 3.5 Magnitude quake that hit off the coast of Marina Del Rey last week, reminds residents of the need to be "Earthquake Ready". To help make sure area residents are ready to take life saving actions in an emergency the chapter is sponsoring free disaster training for residents which will include Basic Emergency first aid training during March and April 2009.

Three-hour sessions will be offered offered on selected Saturdays during March and April, Session One is from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The second session will be 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. If you would like to take advantage of this free training, simply contact the Santa Monica Red Cross at 310-394-3773 during normal business hours to enroll in either session or send us an e-mail To janet@redcrossofsantamonica.org

The Santa Monica Red Cross is located at 1450 11th Street (at Broadway) in Santa Monica. Free parking. Class sizes are limited, so to guarantee a place in class, early enrollment is strongly advised.
